China Net Finance December 27 (Reporter Chen Qiong) On December 26, the 2025 Consumer Trends Conference officially released the "2025 China Consumer Trends Report". More than 500 business representatives were present to discuss consumption trends and gain insight into the market future. Since 2017, Zhimeng Consulting has released the China Consumer Trend Report every year, which continuously foresees the trend changes of the consumer market in China.
Xiao Mingchao, founder and CEO of Zhimeng Consulting, pointed out that the survey of Zhimeng’s 2025 consumption trend found that in the face of the coming 2025, consumers are not only eager to improve their quality of life, but also committed to realizing personal spiritual sublimation, enriching themselves through richer consumption experiences and unlocking a higher level of life satisfaction and happiness. Therefore, the 2025 China Consumption Trend Report will set "seeking truth" and "being realistic" as consumption in 2025. Looking forward to 2025, consumers under the quality awakening need happiness at a lower cost. Therefore, China’s consumer market is divided into four categories: the price-performance ratio of flat replacement, the quality-price ratio of excellent replacement, the heart-price ratio of emotional replacement and the luxury-price ratio of expensive replacement.
Xiao Mingchao also revealed Zhimeng’s prediction of 10 major consumption trends in 2025, namely, quality awakening, mind reshaping, offline rebirth, taste bud exploration, utilitarianism, pleasing body and mind, nearby reconstruction, brand centripetal force, Chinese new rhyme and enjoying AI, and interpreted the trend practice and application cases of more than 30 brands in over 15 industries in combination with the 10 major trends.
In the "Interpretation of Macro Trends" session, Tamia Liu, deputy director of the Market Economy Research Institute of the State Council Development Research Center, shared the theme of macro-economic situation and consumer market interpretation in 2025 from three dimensions: the basic judgment of macro-economic situation in 2025, the prospect of consumer market in 2025, and the main focus of vigorously boosting consumption. He mentioned that vigorously boosting consumption, improving investment efficiency and expanding domestic demand in an all-round way rank first in the key tasks of economic work in 2025, and expanding domestic demand, especially consumer demand, has become the key to promoting sustained economic recovery. At the moment when China has entered the stage of economic growth that needs to be dominated by residents’ consumption, service consumption is the main driving force for residents’ consumption growth, and the stock growth and structural upgrading potential of durable goods consumption are considerable, while the consumption of healthy food has great room for upgrading. To boost consumption vigorously, we should grasp the "two combinations", that is, the combination of supply-side structural reform and demand-side management, and the combination of short-term response and medium-and long-term system construction.
At the meeting, Zhimeng invited a number of industry leaders to deliver annual trend speeches.
